Lobe Earrings FAQs
Will 1.2mm (16g) fit a normal lobe piercing?
1.2mm is the standard gauge for professionally pierced lobes. If your lobes were pierced with a gun they may be slightly smaller; most stretch comfortably to 16g, and our Northwood studio can check and fit for you.
Why flatbacks instead of butterfly backs?
The flat disc sits flush against the back of the ear, so it doesn’t poke, snag on hair or dig in while you sleep. It is the standard professional piercers use.
Are these sold in pairs?
Everything is sold as a single so you can mix and match. Add two for a pair, or add any three eligible earrings and the cheapest is free.
Which post length do I need?
Most healed lobes take a 6mm post. Choose 8mm for thicker lobes or if you like a little more room.
