AFTERCARE FAQs
How do I clean a new piercing?
Spray sterile saline on the front and back of the piercing, let it sit for a moment, then gently pat dry with a clean swab. Follow the routine your piercer gave you and try not to touch or twist the jewellery.
Why use sterile saline instead of salt water?
Sterile saline is mixed to the right strength and stays clean until you use it. Homemade salt water is easy to get wrong and can dry out or irritate a healing piercing.
What is a piercing pillow for?
It has a space in the middle for your ear, so you can sleep on your side without putting pressure on a new piercing. It's a game changer for helix and other cartilage piercings.
How long do I need to keep up aftercare?
Until your piercing has fully healed, which can take anything from weeks to months. Our piercing healing times guide covers each piercing in detail.
When can I change my jewellery?
Once you're fully healed. When you get there, our flatback studs and clickers are a good place to start.
