Flatback Posts
Your earrings shouldn’t hurt by the end of the day. Our flatback posts are made from the same implant-grade titanium we pierce with in the OSCO studio - smooth, secure and kinder to sensitive ears. Available in a range of lengths to suit your ear, and built for all-day comfort, sleeping and everyday wear.
Flatback Posts FAQs
What is a flatback post?
It's the part of the earring that sits through your piercing. A flat disc rests against the back of your ear and holds your top in place, so there's no butterfly back digging in.
Round back or heart back?
A round back is the classic choice and sits neatly in almost any piercing. A heart back gives the back of your ear a bit of personality, which is a nice touch on lobes where people can actually see it.
Do I need to buy a post separately?
Most of our studs come with a flatback post already. Spare posts are handy if you want to change your back style, keep a backup in your bag or rotate tops between piercings.
How long should my flatback post be?
It depends on the piercing and your ear. Fresh piercings usually need a little extra length to allow for swelling while healed piercings suit a snugger fit. If you're unsure, a piercer can measure you.
