Losing Your Hair During Treatment? Earrings Can Help You Feel Like You Again
Hair loss can change how you see yourself in the mirror. New earrings won't fix everything, but they can bring back a little of the person you recognise. We can't pierce you while your immune system is low, but we'll change all the jewellery in your ears for new pieces, completely free.More than just hair
For a lot of people, losing their hair during treatment is one of the hardest parts. It's visible, it's out of your control, and it can take away the things that made you feel like yourself. Many women tell us it made them feel less feminine. Men feel it too, even if they talk about it less.
Earrings sit right where your hair used to frame your face. A bit of sparkle at your ears draws the eye, softens the face and can make getting ready feel like yours again. It's a small thing, but small things count when everything else feels big.
Why we won't pierce you during treatment
Treatments like chemotherapy can lower your immune system and slow down healing. A new piercing is a small open wound that takes weeks to months to heal, so the risk of infection is higher while your body is busy recovering. That's why we won't do new piercings during treatment.
Once you've finished treatment and your care team is happy, we'd love to see you for new piercings. Until then, we can work with the piercings you already have. If your care team has given you any advice about jewellery, follow that first.

Piercings and treatment questions
We don't pierce during treatment. Chemotherapy and similar treatments can lower your immune system and slow healing, which raises the risk of infection in a new piercing. Wait until treatment has finished and your care team is happy.
In healed piercings, most people can. Implant-grade titanium is nickel-free and kind to sensitive skin. If your care team has given you specific advice, follow that.
Yes. The session and the new jewellery are free. You book a curation session online to hold your time, and we refund the booking fee in full after your visit.
Call us on the day and we'll take your ear jewellery out and fit retainers for free. Read our guide to piercings and MRI scans.
